I am a designer who solves complex problems with system-level thinking.
Currently, I’m working to create accessible, patient-centered experiences with MyChart, Epic’s patient health portal.
-
MyChart: Sitewide Styles
Epic is the nation's largest and highest-rated Electronic Health Record (EHR) provider, and serves more than 54% of patients in the US. MyChart, Epic’s patient portal, serves more than 150 million patients.
I was tasked with modernizing MyChart’s sitewide styles & improving usability and consistency. I also was asked to explore adding flexibility into our design system to allow the patient portal to more closely match a customers’ overall brand identity. This project has been done in close collaboration with R&D to create more consistency and flexibility in code as well.

MyChart: Icon System
I proactively created a new icon system to create a more unified, modern, and visually appealing look to MyChart. As part of this, I created new guidelines, updated hundreds of assets, and improved how icons are maintained and used.
-
MyChart: Color System
I proactively proposed updates to MyChart’s color system to help create more visually attractive and personalized experiences for patients.
This project is still in the proposal phase, but initial stakeholder feedback has been positive.

MyChart: UX Guide
I own MyChart’s UX Guide, an internal resource of UI components and patterns for designers and developers. This helps us to maintain a consistent and connected design system.
I create new guidance with lots of cross-team collaboration and input from fellow designers and R&D. I also oversee contributions from other designers.
